宫藤官九郎原创剧本。“昭和大叔”的主人公·小川市郎因意外从1986年穿越到2024年的现代。市郎是中学的体育老师，同时也是棒球部的顾问，被称为“地狱的小川”，用词粗鲁，经常做出令和无法想象的“不合适”言行。另外，妻子因病去世，他也是在家对独生女的不良行为束手无策的普通父亲。对于合规意识低下的“昭和大叔”市郎来说，在令和总是会说出一些“不合适”的话。但市郎的这种极端观点，给了被规则束缚的令和人们思考的契机。
